Buying your own starter kit

Renting gear for a trip

The Rental Guy in Segambut delivers tents and kitchen gear to KL, Selangor, Genting Sempah and Negeri Sembilan. A single-room tent for two is RM60. A double-room tent for up to four is RM80. A portable stove is RM30 and cookware is RM20. Prices are valid until 31 December 2026.

Goritta, a Johor outdoor shop, rents a Mobi Garden two-to-three-person tent at RM60 for up to four days. Zamnaj Campsite in Sungai Dara, Tanjung Malim, rents small tents on site for RM35 for the first night plus RM5 each extra night. A medium tent is RM45 for the first night plus RM5 each extra night. A large tent is RM65 for the first night plus RM10 each extra night. Large tents are not available at its Telang (TC1–TC5) sites. Zamnaj also rents fly sheets and gas stoves.

Pacak Khemah, a Malaysian gear-rental platform, takes a RM50 security deposit on all rentals from its Camping Dengan Kita shop. If you destroy or lose an item, you pay the full retail replacement value. Gear returned more than 12 hours after the scheduled return time is treated as lost or stolen.
